Creating an event

 

1. Log into the Admin Console

2. Click on "Events" using the navigation bar

3. Click on "+ Create Event" located above the calendar

4. Enter the information about the event (There is a description of each field below) and when you are finished click "Create Event" in the top menu to save

 

Field

Description

Event Name

The title of your event (Ex: Football Game)

Event Tags

Event tags are like "hashtags". They make it easier to search for an event. For example you might tag a football game with the tags "athletics", "football", and "home game". Later when someone wants to search for events that are tagged "football" this event would appear in the results.

Event Location

The name of the venue. You must have already created the venue in Spirit and select it from the dropdown. Click here to learn how to add an venue to the dropdown list.

From

The time and date of when your event starts

To

The time and date of when your event ends

All Day Event

Check this box if your event is an all day event (There is no start/end time only start/end date)

Event Description

A short description for your event

Allow Check Ins From

The time and date when Spirit should allow students to check into this event

To

The time and date when Spirit should stop allowing students to check into this event

Spirit Points

How many points you would like to award each student for checking in
